The 2022 Election is a big one for Maryland—we get to elect a new Governor and a new Comptroller—and for Montgomery County—the County Executive race is packed with candidates, but what’s more interesting is the County Council race, which includes two new districts. There are 17 races in the upcoming election, with over 140 candidates running to represent Montgomery County.
Similar to last year, I’ve put together a candidate tracker that will be regularly updated to include the most up-to-date information on each candidate that has either filed to run for election or has announced their candidacy.

The tracker is broken down by Federal, State, and County races. Then further broken down by district. If you need to find out which districts you belong to, you can use this lookup tool to find out which districts you’ll be voting in. Use the guide below to determine which district translates to which 2022 race. Note, though, that your County Council District may have changed since the previous County Council race.

Voter Lookup Tool | 2022 Election Race |
---|---|
CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT | House of Representatives |
LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT | MD House of Delegates |
COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT | Current County Council District |
CIRCUIT COURT DISTRICT | Judicial Court District |
APPELLATE CIRCUIT COURT | N/A |
