Montgomery County Adds Bus Rapid Transit Service down Route 29 in East County

Starting today, October 14th, you can now ride Montgomery County’s new Flash bus service down Route 29. Most residents that live in Montgomery County also work in Montgomery County. The region has focused a lot on transportation options to get to and from DC, but public transit within Montgomery County has been less of a focus.

Bus routes like Flash can help ease traffic and provide reliable and fast service. Buses arrive every 10-15 minutes and will take you from Burtonsville to White Oak to the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center in Silver Spring to connect you to Metro and MARC.

I’m looking forward to more Bus Rapid Transit routes in Montgomery County.
